BIOGRAPHY
Dan practices across a range of common law matters, including the full spectrum of personal injury matters (acting for both claimants/plaintiffs and insurers/defendants in workers compensation and CTP statutory schemes and damages claims, public liability and medical negligence matters), intentional tort and coronial matters.
He is experienced in occupational disciplinary matters (especially for health practitioners) and is regularly engaged as a mediator.
Prior to joining the Bar, Dan worked as a Senior Associate at DLA Piper in the Litigation & Regulatory team. During that time Dan acted for a range of insurer and government agency clients in different courts and tribunals and across various types of litigated disputes, including personal injury claims (both statutory and common law), employment matters and commercial disputes. Dan has also acted for a large Commonwealth government department in relation to a significant software licence matter in the Federal Court.
Dan is regularly included in the “Best Lawyers in Australia” list (published in the AFR) for his work in Government Practice and Litigation.
